After finishing his last shift yesterday, Firefighter Richard Sahl signed off this morning and took Engine 305 home for one final ride.
Rich began his fire service career in Cotuit in 1998 and joined C.O.MM Fire in 2001. From day one, he stood out for his dedication to his fellow firefighters and was a strong, passionate advocate for the members of Local 2346.
As senior man, Rich led with humility and became a steady mentor to many. His impact extended far beyond the station. From “Homeless for the Holidays” to “Toys for Tots,” and countless quiet acts of kindness in the community, Rich always gave from the heart.
Rich, your compassion and loyalty will be deeply missed. Thank you for everything. Enjoy your well-earned retirement.
