FY25 Grant Awards to Fund Community Fire Prevention Programs

C-O-MM Fire is proud to share that we have once again been awarded multiple grant opportunities through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for FY25.

We are honored to receive $8,100 in funding for the Student Awareness of Fire Education (S.A.F.E.) and Senior SAFE programs. These funds will directly support our ongoing community risk reduction initiatives. Through our robust Junior Firefighter Program in several local schools, and community outreach efforts such as Story Time at both the Centerville and Osterville Libraries, we aim to educate and engage residents of all ages.

Senior SAFE funding allows us to continue providing in-home safety visits for older adults, which include smoke and CO detector checks, battery replacements, lockbox installations, and general home safety assessments.

Additionally, we were awarded $28,310 through two rounds of the Firefighter Safety Equipment Grant Program. These funds will be used to purchase much needed hose lines, nozzles, and non-structural firefighting gear; enhancing both our safety and our effectiveness on scene.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security and the Department of Fire Services (DFS) for their continued support.

A special thank you as well to Captain Eric Sabatinelli, along with Fire Prevention Officers Shawn Lehane and Tim Booth, for their hard work in securing these critical funds.

Together, we remain committed to serving and protecting our community with excellence.
